The Great Room
A double-height living room with a stone fireplace and full river views.
Great room with stone fireplace and two-storey windows over the river
About this space
The heart of the residence. Two storeys of glass look straight down the lawn to the Rideau River, and a full-height stone fireplace runs the length of the opposite wall. Group sessions, morning check-ins and quiet afternoons all happen here.
The room opens through to a second seating area with a grand piano and a wall of forest-facing windows, so there is always somewhere to sit alone even when the house is full.
