Connection beyond the residence · Opening 2027

Family & Aftercare

Practise healthier connection during treatment. Leave with a plan for the life you are returning to.

Recovery involves more than one person

The 12 Lodge Method includes structured education and participation for family members, partners, close friends and other approved companions.

Approved companions may participate in an extended family-suite visit approximately once every 3 weeks, subject to clinical suitability and program policies. A qualified team member may observe part of the interaction, followed by separate and joint feedback.

The focus is communication, trust, boundaries, expectations and preparation for returning home—not simply a visit, but an opportunity to practise healthier interaction with support.

Sunday: putting connection into practice

Supported family participation

After lunch, eligible residents may participate in family-suite visits, companion circles, joint counselling or guided discussions, monitored interaction, boundary exercises and approved family leave.

Leave depends on stability and progress, clinical recommendations, the safety of the family environment, treatment goals, transportation, medication requirements, check-ins and residence policies. It is not automatic.

When family cannot visit

Some residents will not have family available, and some relationships may not yet be safe or appropriate. Those residents remain included through peer-support circles, guided Wellness discussions, reflection, community meetings and supervised recreation.

Support may come from partners, friends, mentors, peers or the recovery community as well as family.

Included after successful completion

12 months of structured aftercare

Residents who successfully complete residential treatment will receive twelve months of structured aftercare as a core part of the 12 Lodge Method, not an optional add-on.

  • Virtual group options on multiple days each week
  • Continued access to educational resources
  • Ongoing connection with the 12 Lodge community
  • Local in-person alumni programming where available

Planning starts before discharge

Continuing-care planning begins during residential treatment and is reviewed regularly. Depending on individual needs, it may include outpatient counselling, medical follow-up, community meetings, sober housing, employment support and family counselling.

Virtual aftercare delivery arrangements will be confirmed before use. Digital learning complements these human connections; it does not replace counselling, family conversations or community support.

Haven · Planned for 2027

Bring the learning home. Keep people close.

Haven’s AI-guided reflection, journaling, check-ins and personal planning are intended to help you revisit Reset, Balance and Wellness in daily life. Reflect on a conversation, practise how to express a boundary and prepare the questions you want to bring to your next human conversation.

Haven access terms and duration will be confirmed separately from the twelve months of structured aftercare. There is no promise of lifetime digital access.

Sharing is a conversation, not an assumption.

Your reflections and personal notes are not automatically shared with Guides, family members or Companions. Before Haven is used, 12 Lodge will confirm its privacy terms and consent arrangements, including how personal information is handled, what may be shared and who can see it. These arrangements are not yet finalized. The illustrative preview on this page uses only prewritten examples; it collects no personal reflections, saves no journal and sends no messages.

Support at home remains rooted in your continuing-care plan, qualified care and the people you choose to involve.
