Our strengths come from bringing individual care, a stable residential community and practical recovery preparation together—not from amenities alone. These are the foundations of our planned 2027 offering.
01
A small, focused men’s community
With a maximum of 10 residents, the planned setting supports individual attention, closer relationships and familiarity with each person’s needs. Discussions can explore emotional isolation, identity, responsibility, fatherhood, work and help-seeking.
02
Frequent individual counselling
Each resident will receive at least 3 individual counselling sessions weekly, approximately 60 minutes each, alongside weekday groups, daily check-ins and residential-team contact.
03
Time for a personalized recovery plan
A recommended 42-day stay provides time for learning, practice and return-home preparation. Shorter or extended stays may be developed when clinically appropriate, based on needs, progress and outside responsibilities.
04
A consistent peer environment
Partially closed groups and routine intake on Monday and Wednesday help reduce disruption. A designated intake process is designed to welcome new residents without pulling primary counsellors away from scheduled sessions.
05
A connected recovery-learning method
Reset, Balance and Wellness bring substance-use education, emotional skills, relationships and longer-term planning into one framework. Books, guided reflections, applied exercises and companion education connect understanding with action.
06
Waterfront calm, close to Ottawa
A residential setting on the Rideau River offers space for quiet reflection while remaining connected to Ottawa’s healthcare, community services and recovery resources. Private and shared accommodation provide different residential options.
07
Nutrition and residential hospitality
A professional culinary team is planned, with quality ingredients, nutrition education and resident choice. Meals and daily routines are part of learning how sleep, hydration, food and movement support overall wellness.
08
Wellness woven into the day
Movement, meditation, creative activities, supervised recreation and household responsibilities complement therapeutic work. Structured weekdays, applied-learning Saturdays and family-focused Sundays connect skills with everyday life.
09
Family participation with purpose
Companion education, approved family-suite visits and supported feedback create opportunities to work on trust, communication and boundaries—not simply spend time together. Participation remains guided by safety and clinical suitability.
10
Aftercare included
Continuing support is a core part of the 12 Lodge Method for residents who successfully complete treatment. Planned support includes virtual groups, educational resources, connection with the 12 Lodge community and local alumni programming where available.
11
Community connection before discharge
Selected community recovery meetings and approved activities help residents become familiar with support beyond the residence. The team will help identify suitable continuing-care resources in Ottawa or the community a resident returns to.
12
Learning that continues
Haven is the personal AI recovery companion planned within myLodge for 2027. It connects Reset, Balance and Wellness learning with guided questions, reflection, journaling, check-ins and personal planning between scheduled conversations and after residential care. It supports—not replaces—the human team, Guides and qualified healthcare professionals.
Care begins with an individual assessment of suitability. In-house medical detox is not part of the initial offering; anyone requiring withdrawal management must complete it with an appropriate provider before residential admission. Services and activities are guided by individual needs, professional qualifications and clinical suitability.
